Rosebank Holiday Cottage
 This character Cornish self catering cottage is beautifully situated in a quiet lane overlooking the Fowey river at Mixtow. It has an open sunny aspect with river views from the sitting room and from one of the bedrooms towards Polruan and Fowey. Steps lead up to the garden to a parking space large enough for two cars.
This three bedroom holiday cottage is ideally situated for quiet country walks (with your dog!) The creek path in front of the cottage leads to the head of the creek and has wonderful views of the river. Nearby is the West Country HALL WALK starting in Bodinnick.
A regular ferry takes passengers and cars from Bodinnick to Fowey where boats can be hired or where passenger ferries take visitors across the river to pretty Polruan or to the quaint fishing village of Mevagissy or take the water taxi from Mixtow Quay to explore the beautiful town of Fowey itself.
Each year, in August, Fowey holds its Regatta when the river is alive with boats of all sizes. Another festival is held each May to celebrate the life and writings of Daphne du Maurier as she spent most of her life in the Fowey area.
For the more adventurous, there are canoe, cycling and walking trips operated out of picturesque LERRYN only four and a half miles away.
Opposite Mixtow is Penmarlam Quay which is owned by Fowey Harbour Commission where, for a small fee, visitors to Mixtow can launch their own boat.
There are beaches nearby at Readymoney (Fowey) and Lanivet. The north Cornwall coast, ideal for surfing, is about 30 miles away. There are many places of interest within easy reach including the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and several NT properties. (See our places to visit page)
